About This Adventure

Experience one of Japan's most sacred and ancient pilgrimage routes as a trail runner. The Kumano Kodo trails in Wakayama Prefecture have been walked by pilgrims for over 1000 years. We've curated a unique running experience that respects the spiritual significance of these historic paths while showcasing their natural beauty.

This guided adventure takes you through misty forests, past hidden waterfalls, and alongside mountain shrines. Each day presents a new landscape, from dense woodland to mountain ridges with panoramic views. Your experienced local guide will share stories about the region's history, culture, and natural wonders while ensuring your safety and comfort.

This is more than a trail run—it's a journey into Japan's spiritual heartland, where you'll connect with the land, local communities, and fellow runners from around the world.
